Newly crowned WBO super bantamweight titlist Isaac Dogboe notched his fifth consecutive stoppage with a first round demolition of Hidenori Otake on ESPN.
Dogboe’s left hook is becoming one of the most deeadlist punches in boxing. He used to devastating effect last April to capture the title for Jessie Magdaleno. Against Otake, the shot began Otake’s downfall.

The Japanese challenger never recovered. The ref was forced to save Otake after he beat the count and absorbed a series of unanswered power shots. For those who question Otake’s durability, this is a man who went 12 hard rounds with Scott Quigg. You’ll recall Quigg as the fighter who broke Oscar Valdez’s jaw and likely put him on the shelf for the rest of 2018.
Dogboe is set on unifying and called out undefeated WBC title-holder Rey Vargas. At 23 years old, Dogboe is poised to have a dominant run at 122 pounds.
