[Interview] Big Lex Says Boxing Experience Gives Her Edge Ahead of Tesehki Clash on Claressa Shields Undercard

Big Lex tells BeatsBoxingMayhem why her boxing-style approach, stamina and previous training could give her an advantage over Tesehki ahead of their highly anticipated fight on the Claressa Shields undercard.

One of the most talked-about crossover fights on the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott undercard will see Big Lex step into the ring against fellow Baddies star Tesehki. Ahead of the matchup, BeatsBoxingMayhem caught up with Big Lex to discuss her preparation, fighting style, and why she believes the boxing environment plays directly into her strengths.

While many celebrity and influencer bouts often devolve into wild exchanges, Big Lex says fans shouldn’t expect that from her.

Honestly, I feel like it’s just a mental thing. I would describe my style as kinda like boxing. I’m not really too fond of pulling hair. I just do what I do best. And my fighting style is more like a boxing style, so being in a gym [training] is even better for me.

Although she admits there are major differences between influencer fighting and sanctioned boxing, Big Lex believes her competitive mindset and previous boxing experience have helped prepare her for the moment.

Definitely [a big difference], but I do have the stamina. I’m just competitive. I boxed briefly when I was younger for about six months. Not that it prepared me but I know what to expect out of this and I’ll train properly to do what I do best.
