Rapper Doe B (Glenn Thomas), signee to T.I.’s Hustle Gang imprint, was shot and killed along with 21-year-old bystander Kim Johnson early Saturday morning at the Centennial Hill Bar and Grill in Montgomery, Alabama.
According to early reports, including one from the club’s manager DJ Frank White, the rapper was the only intended target. He and the bystander Kim Johnson, who just recently celebrated her 21st birthday, were pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. Six others were also injured in the shooting.
Known as the Rose Supper Club a year ago, the venue has its liquor license revoked in January due to a December 2012 shooting.
Easily recognizable due to an eyepatch over his right eye from a previous shooting, the 22-year-old Doe B had signed with Hustle Gang earlier this year. He also recently released a DJ Scream-hosted mixtape entitled Baby Jesus.
At press time, authorities have not disclosed if there were multiple gunmen involved.
T.I. took to his official Instagram this morning to offer tribute.
