The 2010 MTV VMA Awards are now history. Hip-Hop was well represented the entire night. Eminem kicked off the event with his chart hits “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way to Lie,” and Kanye West with the Clipse’s Pusha T closed the night with an MPC aided rendition of Ye’s self-critiquing “Runaway.” Throw in sets in the middle from acts like B.o.B. and Drake, and you have a decent representation of who did damage mainstream-wise this year in Hip-Hop culture. Overall though, it was not a two-hour show you’d actually want to sit through, unless stunts like Chelsea Handler straddling Rick Ross on a red scooter amuse you.
