Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson might be the hottest American heavyweight prospect today, but the 21-year-old from Toledo, Ohio knows the hardest work remains ahead.
Sporting a glossy 10-0 (10 KOs) record, he’ll make his Madison Square Garden debut this weekend against Oleksandr Teslenko on the Vasyl Lomacheko vs. Richard Commey undercard. Anderson sat down with BeatsBoxingMayhem to discuss his master plan to clean out the heavyweight division. He also fires back as what he views as an overly cynical mentality amongst fans and media in the boxing community. We even discuss the recent loss suffered by his friend Efe Ajagba to Frank Sanchez, and if Anderson himself is ready to handle the inevitable criticism once he has his first in-ring struggle.
Check out the exclusive interview below. The Lomachenko vs. Commey card airs live on ESPN this Saturday December 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
