The new generation of Evander Holyfield’s legacy began without a hitch as his son Evan scored a first-round TKO of Nick Winstead (0-2) last night on the Canelo-Kovalev undercard.
The 22-year old neophyte, who goes by the nickname “Yung Holy,” stands at 6’2 and towered over the 5’9 Winstead, who normally competes in MMA and was trying his hand at becoming a full-time boxer.
Winstead’s lack of boxing experience showed immediately as Holyfield dispatched him with a series of left hooks and straights within 16 seconds.
Holyfield will campaign in the super welterweight division.
