You will notice something very quickly about this list. 2015 wasn’t a year filled with rock ’em, sock ’em punches for three minutes. What the last 12 months did have were an abundance of exchanged knockdowns, usually due to the initial scorer getting extremely cocky (and sloppy). Here are five of the most dramatic ones.

JacobsMora

5. EDWIN RODRIGUEZ DANIEL JACOBS VS. SERGIO MORA, ROUND ONE

Jacobs drew “first blood” with a strong knockdown and rushed in for the finish. Mora returned the favor and we had a fight on our hands. Take note of the taunting back and forth once Mora gets his knockdown and Jacobs is getting the mandatory count.

Amir Imam vs Fidel Maldonado Jr

4. AMIR IMAM VS. FIDEL MALDONADO JR., ROUND 3

After being put down hard in the second, Maldonado came out strong and slid Imam across the canvas with a counter straight left. Maldonado also yelled at him while he was on the canvas. But Imam would have the last laugh over the next two minutes.

Canelo Alvarez v James Kirkland

3. CANELO ALVAREZ VS. JAMES KIRKLAND, ROUND ONE

For a full minute, Kirkland looked like a beast. Then Canelo started hitting him back. Luckily for us, Kirkland is still highly entertaining even when he’s getting pounded.

Glowacki

2. MARCO HUCK VS. KRZYSZTOF GLOWACKI, ROUND SIX

Glowacki got placed in unknown territory when he tasted the canvas for the first time. His response showed what he’s made of.

Rodriguez_Seals1

1. EDWIN RODRIGUEZ VS. MICHAEL SEALS, ROUND ONE

Rodriguez pounced on Seals early and had the young fighter down quickly. Then Rodriguez started flexing and mugging to the crowd. You can guess what happened next.
