Natalie Cole, one of music’s most well-known voices for several decades, has passed away from congestive heart failure in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, Cole was also suffering from kidney transplant and Hepatitis C complications. These health issues resulted in the cancelation of a New Year’s Eve concert at Disney Hall and a February show.
Cole had previously overcame drug addiction, liver disease, and chemo treatment for her Hepatitis.
Since beginning her career in the 1970s, Cole has won nine Grammys and sold over 30 million records.
Her last album, Natalie En Espanol, was released in 2013.
