As promised, Rick Ross has delivered a project of all-original material today entitled Black Dollar. The Dat Piff exclusive features guest spots from Future, Wale, Anthony Hamilton and August Alsina. It’s a shame this isn’t an official album, since the quality is superior to what we heard on Mastermind and Hood Billionaire. This album solidifies an opinion I’ve had for years — Ross should never rap on a trap beat ever again. The soul-based production (whether it’s 80s synths, orchestral, or smooth/quiet storm) is the landscape where he’s a master.
Rick Ross drops a mixtape that eclipses his recent albums.
