Juan Manuel Marquez is less than a month away from a third try at defeating Manny Pacquiao. In his first blog entry, Marquez briefly discusses his long-time rival’s most dangerous attributes and what he needs to accomplish in training to defeat Pacquiao.
I believe that Manny Pacquiao has become a much complete fighter, but his speed and power are still his most dangerous attributes.
I don’t believe I won the first fight, I am sure I won them both, I just did not get the decision. I will do the same that I have always done against him, fight with intelligence, patience and counterpunch. My preparation will be different because I will fight at a higher weight. I have to make some changes in my diet and make sure I can still have speed and conditioning at the higher weight.
