“Maybaxh Hot” aka “Hot Rod” Roddricus Livsey has been the most active and visible boxer on the Atlanta boxing scene over the last several years. Once fully engulfed by the street life, Livsey took the same determination of the hustler’s mentality and focused it on his boxing career. After a few setbacks with opponents falling through on Gervonta Davis’ Atlanta cards, Livsey finally gets his opportunity in the national spotlight when he fights Eric Palmer on the undercard of Jamel Herring vs. Shakur Stevenson, airing live this Saturday (October 23) on ESPN from State Farm Arena.
Livsey sat down with BeatsBoxingMayhem to reflect on how he left the streets behind, learning from an early career draw, and how his popularity in Atlanta has prepared him for the national spotlight.
