[Video] 19-Year Old Prospect Xander Zayas Previews ESPN Debut on Herring-Stevenson Card and Aims to Rejuvenate Puerto Rican Boxing

Meet the 19-year old prospect aiming to reinvigorate Puerto Rican boxing.

10-0 (7 KOs) prospect Xander Zayas is gearing up for his next career milestone when he makes his national ESPN debut as the co-feature on the Jamel Herring vs. Shakur Stevenson card (October 23). The effervescent 19-year old sat down with BeatsBoxingMayhem to reflect on his recent jump from 147 pounds to junior middleweight, a temperature check on his goal to become the 2021 Prospect of the Year, and how his emergence can usher in a new renaissance period for Puerto Rican boxing. And he even kind enough to give us tips on which video games to pick up for the 2021 holiday season.

Zayas will face Dan Karpency on his October 23 matchup live on ESPN from Atlanta’s State Farm Arena.
