Based on how the original A Quiet Place ended, you’d think the Abbott family had the tools to be humanity’s salvation. Unfortunately, the Abbotts face even more dangers between the creatures and humans in the new trailer for A Quiet Place Part II.
Although Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) and her daughter figured out how to use sound to destroy the predatory monsters, the sheer number of creatures appears to have forced them to venture into the outside world. The family must now contend with sinister humans who’ve devolved to marauding gangs.
Fans of The Walking Dead have seen this premise for several seasons where strangers become more dangerous than zombies. It’ll be interesting to see how heavy this story leans on that and character development. However, those who are here to see the creatures should be satisfied since the trailer has flashback sequences revealing how the apocalypse started.
A Quiet Place Part II hits theaters on March 20.
