Gennady Golovkin has found a network home. The former middleweight champion has inked a 3-year, six-fight deal with the streaming platform DAZN, sources with ESPN have confirmed.
Golovkin reportedly signed the deal on yesterday. The terms will reportedly pay the former champion eight figures per fight.
The signing will have Golovkin competing twice a year for the next three years and an additional four shows over the next two years for fighters with GGG Promotions.
Golovkin’s in-ring return is targeted for June 8. The bout will be a showcase leading to a trilogy bout with Canelo in September should the latter defeat Danny Jacobs on May 4.
A press conference officially confirming the deal is expected for Monday (March 11) in Los Angeles.
