There was no high drama this afternoon as WBC title-holder Jose Ramirez and challenger Antonio Orozco both weighed in under the 140-pound limit. Orozco has had two fights canceled since 2016 for being overweight, so today was no foregone conclusion.
The co-feature saw Jamel Herring (130) in supreme condition for his bout against John Vincent Moralde (129.8).
In the lightweight opener, prospect Gabriel Flores Jr. (132.2) and Roger Gutierrez (132) both came in well under the 135-pound limit.
