Mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been arrested for assaulting one of his son’s UCLA football coaches. According to a report published on TMZ Sports, the altercation took place at the school’s athletic facility. It stemmed from strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi yelling at Comb’s son Justin during a training session.
“I don’t care if your father is here,” Alosi is reported to have said. “This is UCLA. I’m going to treat you just like I treat everyone else.”
Combs allegedly accosted Alosi with a kettlebell, prompting campus police to arrest him for assault. Sources from Diddy’s camp claim the Bad Boy mogul was not the aggressor and that the entire incident is on video. UCLA reps released an official statement Monday evening.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.
Football coach Jim Mora issued the following statement: “I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
Diddy was released on Monday after posting a $50,000 bond. He faces three charges of assault with a deadly weapon, making terroristic threats and battery. Alosi is a former assistant coach for the New York Jets that made headlines in 2010 for tripping and injuring Dolphins player Nolan Carroll during a game.
Justin Combs took to Instagram on Tuesday and praised his father without directing addressing the UCLA incident.

Diddy must have confused that UCLA coach with Drake… or maybe Steve Stoute. Regardless, this appears to another case of a parent not being able to handle their kid being read the riot act during training. This happens all the time where parents feel they know exactly how their kid should be coached. Diddy will make a nice donation to the school and this will blow over.
