To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the seminal Illmatic, Nas held a fan contest to select a director for “Represent.” The winner was Brian Katz, who spliced the video with image of Nas’s Hip-Hop journey and scenes from the silent film The Thief of Baghdad (the source of DJ Premier’s sample).
