Mayweather’s Social Media Campaign Continues: “May 5 is Pacquiao Ass Whooping Day!”

"January 16 was Dr. Martin Luther King birthday. January 17 is Muhammad Ali birthday and May 5 is Pacquiao ass whooping day!"

Floyd Mayweather has added Bob Arum’s name to his social media call outs of Manny Pacquiao, adding more public pressure to have the long-awaited Mayweather-Pacquiao superfight on May 5.

Mayweather simultaneously posted on Twitter and Facebook several short statements chastising Bob Arum, who earlier today admitted that Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, whose promoted Mayweather in all his recent fights, had called him repeatedly about securing the Pacquiao bout. Arum claimed that he did not return the calls because he had no proof that Schaefer was again representing Mayweather.

“I’m ready to fight Pacquiao 5/12 [sic],” said Mayweather. “Bob Arum know [sic] the date [and it] can’t change. I have my guarantee. Call Schaefer and Al [Haymon] and stop lying to the public… January 16 was Dr. Martin Luther King birthday. January 17 is Muhammad Ali birthday and May 5 is Pacquiao ass whooping day!”

“First they say I’m ducking the fight. But now it seems like I’m begging for the fight. What is going on?”

At press time, neither Bob Arum nor Manny Pacquiao has responded to Mayweather’s comments.
