The Nicki Minaj that balanced a tight lyrical flow with her eccentrics has on recent tracks become completely possessed by her oddball tendencies. And yet even over a beat that would be well-served in torture chambers, you still get flashes of her skill (especially in her continued clear shots at rival Lil Kim). After the release of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on February 14, let’s hope Nicki puts the Zolanski alter ego on the shelf.
