Whatever your opinion of Floyd Mayweather, you can’t say the man doesn’t have a sense of boxing history. As he did earlier this year with former opponent Genaro Hernandez, who also died of cancer, Mayweather has announced that he’ll cover all the final expenses for former heavyweight champion Joe Frazier. Smokin’ Joe passed away late Monday night after entering hospice care last week for advanced liver cancer. At press time, the Frazier family has not released any statement on funeral plans. Much respect to Mayweather for this move.
