First is Cleverly and Bellew, who almost came to blows earlier today. Turns out that Tony Bellew, who was already a replacement opponent for Jurgen Brahmer , will not be able to compete this Saturday for failing to make the check-in weight. Instead, Cleverly will face Aleksy Kuziemski for the WBO light-heavyweight title. James DeGale came up with an unprecedented move, agreed to by George Groves, that they bet their entire purses on the winner (reported to be 320,000 pounds). British officials later advised them that their bet could not be honored, leaving the two men with their undefeated records as their main motivation.
