Over one year after his shocking death in Atlanta, King Von’s musical legacy is getting a resurrection. Following up his debut album Welcome to O-Block, a joint venture between his estate, Only the Family and Empire Records will release Von’s first posthumous project, What It Means To Be King, on March 4.

The new single “Don’t Play That” features 21 Savage, who’s been a supporter of the late rapper and become close to his family. Kid Hazel’s production has a more playful bounce than Von’s usual dark drill landscapes, but the O-Block legend still keeps the same menacing energy that made him famous (“I did a drill with the face mask/ I washed my hands with the Ajax… She asking me what is Tooka?/ Just know that we smoke him a lot.”).
