[Trailer] A Young Tony Soprano Navigates Street and Family Politics in ‘The Many Saints of Newark’

Our first look at the much anticipated Sopranos prequel.

After much speculation, the word will finally see the family life and city environment that birthed Tony Soprano. The first trailer for The Many Saints of Newark shows a young Tony Soprano displaying his trademark fiery anger and being groomed by his near mythical uncle, Dickie Moltisanti, and younger versions of Paulie “Walnuts” Gualtieri and Junior Soprano. And with 60s Newark being the backdrop, we see the Soprano crew running into conflict with black gangsters during the 1967 riots.

The Many Saints of Newark, featuring the late James Gandolfini’s son Michael in the star role, hits theaters and HBO Max on October 1.
