Comedian Ricky Harris, known his appearances on Snoop Dogg albums and TV shows like Everybody Hates Chris, has died today from a heart attack. He was 54.
A Def Comedy Jam veteran, Harris made his film debut in 1993’s Poetic Justice. Other film credits include Heat, Tales From the Hood, High School High and Bones.
Harris landed a recurring role on Moesha from 1996-1998 as J.W. Willis, and later on Everybody Hates Chris as Malvo from 2006-2008. Harris’ voice can also be heard on the smash 2004 game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Harris’ most wide-reaching work was his comedic characters DJ Eaz-E-Dick and TaaDow on Snoop Dogg’s seminal debut Doggystyle, the Murder Was the Case soundtrack, Tha Doggfather and Dogg Pound’s Dogg Food.
