Are you ready to put in work on the dance floor? That feels like a rhetorical question once you take a listen to Vivian Green’s fun new single “Grown Folks Music.”
Produced by Kwame, the track immediately has a vintage feel courtesy of the main rhythm being a variation of the classic Hip-Hop break from Cymande’s “Bra.” Director Derek Blanks keeps the beautiful ladies in a rolling sequence of outfit and hair style changes, giving their dance routines a playful spunk. Vocally, Green meshes perfectly with the rhythms and the bridge/chorus feel straight out of the Michael Jackson 80’s playbook. And if you listen closely, Kwame inserts bells and whistles like a quick sample of the sounds from the house classic “Perculator.”
“Grown Folks Music” will be featured on Green’s fifth studio album Vivid.
