How come he can’t be as evil as Lu get? Well, that’s cause you ain’t Lu, bitch…
Ok, this is the Lupe Fiasco we’re all familiar with. Those not happy with the #DopeFrancis track that leaked a few hours back should be satisfied with this “answer record” to the frenzy Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse has put the game in.
There’s “no beef,” as Lu simply put as a disclaimer on Twitter, but he doesn’t shy away from the fact he believes Kendrick overstepped his bounds (“He so crazy/Look at the little baby/Nigga you ain’t Nas/Nigga you ain’t Jay-Z…”). For Lupe, who feels he and others paved the way for a guy like Kendrick to have a lyrical style be accepted on a mainstream level, Kendrick’s arrogance in dismissing all other
new rappers” outside of Jay, Nas, Em etc. was borderline delusional. One other thing to note is Lupe doesn’t shy away from the fact he still maintains Kendrick’s verse is much ado about nothing (frankly, Lupe is one of the few who’s dropped enough lyrical heat to get away with saying that).
Listen and see if you argee.
