Miley Cyrus is the main visual subject for Big Sean’s art-heavy “Fire” video. If you’re wondering why Sean selected her for the clip, below is his explanation via Twitter. You can also download “Fire” for free courtesy of Samsung, HERE.
A special video for a special song. I got Miley Cyrus for this video because she’s somebody who’s had a personal evolution as a lot of us have had. Besides all the personal stories I tell in the song, there are so many other ways people can make it through the fire. I think Miley did a great job as a metaphor for strong women, being a strong person after heartbreak (hence the burning pic that could symbolize her old romance), or maybe even deeper problems but in the end remaining as elegant as a rose.
It’s a cool visual that has a cool concept and meaning to it. Thanks to Miley Cyrus for being down [and] everybody who helped make it happen!
Big Sean’s Hall of Fame album drops August 27.
This I like also…every angle of every screenshot of every clip…is an evolution, a transformation in itself, for both artists.
Ironically, Miley’s role in this video reminded me of you down to the fiery red hair. 🙂
