MC Shan and Marley Marl are not “beefing,” but it’s accurate to say they’re having a spirited debate. This issue stems from Marley Marl allegedly telling Masta Ace years ago that Shan opted out of appearing on the classic “Symphony” posse cut because he felt some of the newer artists were beneath him. Shan refuted those claims and accused Marley of cheating many artists out of money and claiming production he didn’t do. Marley of course came back with his own response jokingly claiming Shan was still suffering from drug abuse.
