As promised, Jean Grae has dropped her DJ Drama hosted tape Cookies or Comas. Part new marterial and complilation, this project features freesyles over tracks like Kanye West’s “Blame Game,” and her recent guest spots on albums from Pharoahe Monch and Talib Kweli. Don’t get this confused with other “mixtapes” that are created like albums; Grae is simply supplying an appetizer for her upcoming LP Cake or Death, due out this Fall. Jean is in snarky, smart-ass mode for the majority of this tape, so those who follow her on Twitter should will feel right at home on this listen.
