Retired UK greats Steve Collins, Joe Calzaghe, and Ritchie Woodhall recorded a very interesting roundtable retrospective on their careers for Sky Sports last month. Here in America fight fans became familiar with Calzaghe’s later career due to his conquests of Jeff Lacy, Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins. Collins and Woodhall are less known over here. This piece covers their careers from the amateurs through retirement, and there’s a lot of interesting side stories included (like Collins getting angry at Marvin Hagler for refusing to spar with him). They also give their rankings of other fighters like Chris Eubank, Michael Watson and Nigel Benn. A good, educational listen if you have the time.
