Those who’ve seen The Fighter are in for a treat. The HBO documentary dramatized in the movie has been added to Youtube. Filmed in the mid 90s, High On Crack Street the shows how drugs slowly destroyed several lives in Lowell, Massachusetts. You’ll notice that some of the scenes from the movie are lifted directly from this documentary. Be on the lookout for appearances from Eklund family matriarch Alice Ward, Dicky’s famous brother Micky, and the Eklund sisters. Be warned, the documentary as a whole is highly depressing and will make you angry, especially regarding a pregnant addict who continues smoking crack five months into her pregnancy. HBO might not let this stay up, so check it out while you can.
