IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and Samuel Peter both looked in shape and ready for their championship match tomorrow night (September 11). Wladimir Klitschko weighed in at 247 pounds, three pounds higher than his last fight in March against Eddie Chambers. Samuel Peter tipped the scales at 241, adding four pounds from his last outing against Nagy Aguilera.
The weigh-in was conducted in Frankfurt, Germany, and is a rematch to their 2005 encounter. Klitschko won a clear decision despite suffering three knockdowns. This time, Wladimir is predicting he’ll take out Peter with an early KO.
Betters are siding with the champion, too. Odds are 1-11 that Klitschko wins again. Peter’s odds are a massive 25-1 that he takes a decision, and 15-2 that he KO’s Klitschko.
The fight will be held at Frankfurt’s Commerzbank-Arena and available for free on www.espn3.com at 4:50PM ET.
