Manny Pacquiao will request that Antonio Margarito adhere to a catchweight of 150 pounds for their junior middlweight title match on November 13.

The news was confirmed this morning by Pacquiao’s attorneyFranklin Gacal, who says that Pacquiao’s team believes the request is reasonable due to Margarito’s size.

“Margarito is big and tall even at super welter,” he explained to the Manila Bulletin.

In his November 2009welterweight debut, Pacquiao requested that Miguel Cotto agree to a catchweight of 145 pounds. Pacquiao won the fight by a 12 round TKO.

Pacquiao will be vying for a title in his 8th weight division when he meets Margarito.

Pacquiao’s management team is expected to fly to the U.S. this coming week to finalize contract details.

How can you fight for a title in a division at a catchweight lower than that weight class and how did either become a #1 contender when Manny never fought at that weight. MONEY MONEY MONEY boxing is still crooked
