XXXTentacion Shot and Killed in South Florida

XXXTentacion

XXXTentacion, who garnered devoted fans for his eclectic music influences and controversy for alleged incidents of domestic violence, was shot and killed in South Florida today after leaving a motorcycle dealership. He was 20 years old.

Witnesses claim to have heard several shots around 4:35 p.m. in Broward County. XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was found comatose in his vehicle at an undisclosed intersection. Several witnesses claim he didn’t have a pulse when transported to a nearby hospital as a level one trauma patient.

According to dispatch audio obtained by TMZ, police are looking for a black Dodge Journey. Two males in hoodies with red ski masks opened fire on XXXTentacion at point blank range. A Louis Vuitton bag belonging to the rapper was missing, adding to speculation the murder may have been a botched robbery.

XXXTentacion’s last album, simply titled ?, was released in March and his first #1 album on Billboard. Known for his explicit lyrics detailing his struggles with depression, drug abuse and suicide, XXXTentacion also garnered infamy for several allegations of violence against women. A trial was pending for a 2017 incident where he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman.

Beanie Sigel is undergoing surgery this morning after being shot in the stomach during a dispute outside a New Jersey home.

According to NBC Philadelphia, Sigel¬†(Dwight Grant)¬†was wounded¬†around 9:45 a.m. in Pleasantville. The details of the shooting and suspect information has not been disclosed by officials. Sigel is listed in “serious condition.” A second shooting victim denied treatment.

Sigel was released from federal prison in August after serving a two-year sentence for tax evasion. The former Roc-a-fella star is required to serve the remainder of his sentence in a halfway house and was wearing an ankle bracelet at the time of the incident.

Sigel recently¬†delivered a well-received verse on¬†Young Chris’ “Legends Never Die.”¬†Sigel’s last full-length project was 2012’s This Time.

Wyclef Jean has been released from a Haiti hospital after being shot earlier today (March 20).

According to his spokeswoman Cindy Tanenbaum, Jean was shot in the hand while in Port-au-Prince. The Grammy-winning singer is in his homeland campaigning for former rival and presidential candidate Michel Martelly, who faces former first lady Mirlande Manigat in a runoff tomorrow.

The specifics behind the shooting haven’t been released, but Tanenbuam advised the wound was minor.

“He is doing well,” she stated.

Following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Jean attempted his own presidential run which ended in September. Officials ruled Jean did not meet the five-year consecutive residency requirements specified by the constitution. Jean also provided millions in aid to his homeland through his Yele foundation.

The results of the presidential runoff will be announced on April 16.

Christy Martin is recovering safely at a Apopka, Florida hospital following a knife and gun attack from her husband.

Martin has been hospitalized since last Wednesday. She identified her husband, 66-year-old James Martin, as the individual who attacked her. Martin received knife and gunshot wounds to her left leg and torso. According to police, the crime was preceded by an intense argument between the couple earlier that day.

James Martin remains at large, and is also a suspected of returning to the home to retrieve belongings. A family friend notified the police of a burglary after visiting the property to pick up supplies for Christy Martin.

The LA Times has listed Crimeline (800-423-8477) as the number to call for any information on James Martin.

The sooner this man is off the streets, the better. Knowing Christy’s fighting spirit, I’m sure she got in a few licks before barely escaping with her life. I hope they throw the maximum charges at him. This incident definitely constitutes attempted murder, and¬†makes you wonder how long this relationship has been violent.

Female boxing pioneer Christy Martin is in the hospital after being shot and stabbed by her husband in their Apopka, Florida home.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s office, the 66-year-old James Martin accosted his wife with both a knife and handgun following a verbal dispute. The 42-year-old Martin suffered a gunshot to her torso, and stab wound to her left leg. She fled the home, and received help¬†after waving down¬†a passing motorist.

James Martin, who also served as his wife’s trainer, left the scene and remains at large.

At press time, local authorities have not disclosed the seriousness of Martin’s injuries, or what prompted the attack.

Nicknamed the Coal Miner’s daughter, Christy Martin brought national attention to female boxing¬†through¬†a thrilling¬†decision win over Deirdre Gogarty in 1996. The¬†fight was broadcast on Showtime’s pay-per-view undercard of Mike Tyson vs. Frank Bruno II,¬† and earned her a Sports Illustrated cover.¬†¬†

Martin’s last fight was a September 2009 decision win¬†over Dakota Stone, raising her record to 49-5-3, with 31 KOs.¬†The bout¬†marked her 20th year as a professional.
