Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany — After a disastrous 2013 that saw him suffer two KO defeats at the hands of Tony Thompson, heavyweight David Price is back in the win column with an easy first round stoppage over Istvan Ruzsinszky.
Considering Ruzsinszky had been stopped four times in his nine defeats, it didn’t take Price long to find the mark with his powerful right hand. One straight right froze Ruzsinszky, and the second sent him barreling to the canvas. He beat the count on wobbling legs, prompting referee Joerg Milcke to call it off.
Price will be moving slowly for the foreseeable future, but his team should keep him active with at least 4-5 bouts this year.
