The Wire has been done for years, but my man Idris Elba will forever get props for his work on my favorite all-time TV series. I call this a video trailer simply because it’s a monologue intro for Monch’s upcoming W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) album, which drops on March 22. I got my hands on a preview copy of the album, and I think longtime Monch fans will be happy. Elba does music himself, so I’m surprised he didn’t drop a verse. FYI, the snippet at the end is the LP’s title track, which features Immortal Technique. The video is directed by Todd Angkasuwan.
