Kanye West is under observation in a Los Angeles area hospital following the abrupt cancellation of his national Saint Pablo tour.
An anonymous source told NBC News that Los Angeles police received a medical welfare call on Monday at 4:20 p.m. West was not arrested, but authorities made the decision to hospitalize him for his own safety.
West’s hospitalization caps a bizarre week which saw the rapper bash friends Jay Z and Beyonce at an Sacramento concert. He reportedly performed two songs and left after 30 minutes. At a tour stop in San Jose, West was booed after endorsing Donald Trump.
At press time, an official statement has not been given by West’s representatives nor concert promoter Live Nation for the tour cancellation.
