Straight from Jay Electronica’s Twitter a few minutes ago, Jay Z joins his esoteric Roc Nation signee for a celebration of black excellence over Soulja Boy’s “We Made It.” Jay Elec’s verse is layered with Nation of Islam/5% philosophy, and Jay Z builds on that with his references to Yacub, being God and the danger of superstition. However, there are enough pop reference to the likes of Lupita Nyong’o and Michael Jordan for everyone to be able to follow.
Could Jay Electronica finally be serious about getting that album out this year?
