Pro Era’s back with the second edition of their Secc$ Tap.e series. In spite of being more infatuation and lust than genuine love (see the opening “Chocolate Covered Strawberries”), there are some real gems here, like the mesmerizing “Sol Luna” (that uses Tribe’s “We Got the Jazz” as the vocal backdrop).
All throughout the tape, Pro Era makes lyrical nods to the classics that came before them, whether that is Rae and Ghost on “Ice Cream,” or Donell Jones’ “You Know What’s Up.” They even throw a curveball in rocking over some 80s synth soul on “Pantie Raid Pt. II” (Snoop would be proud).
Not exactly a project you can throw on during a lovemaking session with the Ms., but it’ll work during a post-coital smoke session.

hey…this is sounding mighty dope!!!
