Rick Ross and Jay Z are 2/2 to close out 2013 with the much-hyped release of “The Devil Is a Lie.” The production has a 70s southern Soul feel to it with its wailing horn and gospel-infused singing notes (think something Camp Lo would rhyme over). Jay’s closing verse is noted for his comments on the Barneys controversy and crowning himself the modern-day Mansa Musa (look him up if the reference escapes you). “The Devil Is a Lie” will be included on Ross’s 2014 album Mastermind.
