Morales: 142 pounds
Garcia: 139.5 pounds
Prediction: After all that work to get the belt last September against Pablo Cesar Cano, Erik Morales relinquished his WBC title by coming over the 140 limit at 142 pounds. Morales was so drained at 142 that he didn’t even try to lose the extra weight and paid a fine of $50,000 to Garcia. Tomorrow night, only Garcia will be eligible to win the belt. Should Morales emerge victorious, the title will be vacant.
Take one look at these pictures and it’s clear that Morales is not in good shape at all. I expect him to be sluggish tomorrow and not have to the tenacity and stamina available to take Garcia into deep waters and drown him late like he did Cano and almost pulled off with Maidana. Garcia by unanimous decision.

Kirkland: 153.7 pounds
Molina: 153.7 pounds
Prediction: This should be an excellent fight. Both guys like to put on pressure, so this contest may come down to who can force his opponent backward. However, Molina has the better technical skills and can still excel off the backfoot should Kirkland force him to. Either man winning wouldn’t be a surprise, but considering the confidence high Kirkland should be on after the Angulo win, and his edge in punching power, I’ll go with the Mandingo Warrior taking a hard-earned decision by outworking a Molina in the late rounds.
