The Academy is a nationwide collective of 55 emcees composed of old school, new school, independent and major label artists. The project is the brainchild of Kurupt, who’s already recruited the likes of Jadakiss, Pete Rock, Royce da 5’9, Planet Asia, K-Solo, Billy Danze, Pack FM, Keith Murray, Chino XL, Sean Price, Method Man and many more. The first offering from this ambitious gathering is “Samurydas,” available on iTunes today. The full-length Academy compilation album is scheduled to drop on September 13 via Terminal3/Penagon/Bonzi Records.
