“I know your heart…”
Nick Charles is another member of the boxing community battling cancer. Most of you will recall his work in recent years on Showtime. A few weeks back, HBO honored him by letting him call a fight on their telecast. Older fans will remember Charles for his work as a CNN correspondent. As you’ll see from the footage, Charles is keeping his dignity despite the cancer taking a huge physical toll on him. His good friend Mike Tyson paid him a visit, and it’s evident that both men have a strong feeling this may be their last encounter. It may seem weird to some how they keep holding on to each other, but I understand. When you know a loved one doesn’t have long for this world, you try to embed everything about them in your memory from the way they feel to the way they smell.
