Today, Pete Rock and Smif N Wessun are offering this title track from their upcoming album as an 99. cent iTunes download. Pete’s sample choice has blaxploitation/70’s soul elements courtesy of the violin centered main melody, and the short, squealing horns refrains. It’s a slow-moving track that fits well with the deliberate, moderate pace that Smif N Wessun usually exhibit with their flows. Pete’s strength has never been his vocals. Despite being the last emcee to rhyme, Pete’s montone, flat voice luckily doesn’t hurt the song much.
