Is Kanye West emptying the vaults? A week after leaking the official video for “Monster,” Ye has leaked a full version of his a capella offering “Mama’s Boyfriend.” The upbeat soul sample sounds more College Dropout than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which probably explains why this was left off the latter. Kanye’s flow is awkward in parts; the sheer loudness of the sample takes away from the humorous, and at times heartfelt, emotion displayed on the a capella version. Something tells me Kanye may need to get another G.O.O.D. Friday series going to clear out the vaults.
