NORDRHEIN-WESTFALEN, GERMANY — Robert “The Nordic Nightmare” Helenius delivered a crushing KO of Samuel Peter last night before a sizable crowd in Germany’s Gerry Weber Stadium.
Peter’s condition was in question before the bout because of his weight of 260 pounds, 19 more than he weighed against Wladimir Klitschko back in September.
Helenius scored the first knockdown in the ninth off short, chopping left hook. Peter was badly hurt and dispatched quickly with another left hook that left him flat on his back.
Helenius improved his undefeated record to 15-0, 10 KOs. Peter suffers his second consecutive knockout loss and falls to 34-5, 27 KOs.
