Remember Malice? Even though he’s not running with a Kanye cosign like his brother, the less-celebrated member of the Clipse is still on his grind. Aside from his very own autobiography coming out (Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind and Naked), Malice is making sure that you don’t forget about him on the rapping tip. Hopefully this extremely short freestyle is a teaser for an upcoming project.

PUDGE “DOROTHY LOOKS CRAZY”
Pudge has already put in work this year via his Idiot Box instrumental album. The Los Angeles resident turned NYC transplant’s latest collection is I Didn’t Know?!?!?! Rap??????. The title references the fact that until now, he’s made his name as a producer, most notably in LA’s avant-garde, Hip-Hop underground scene. This song, “Dorothy Looks Crazy,” takes its name from the sample originator, harp-playing jazz legend Dorothy Ashby. Ms. Ashby is one of my favorite musicians, and even though she plied her trade decades before Hip-Hop’s creation, a lot of her work reflects our culture’s flair (one of her albums is titled Hip-Harp). Shout out to Detroit’s House Shoes who laced the beat, and director Cee Brown.
The album can be purchased HERE. Peep the Slum Village reference in the chorus.

TERMANOLOGY AND REKS ON FREESTYLE FOR SHADE 45
Last month, Termanology and Reks stopped by Tony Touch’s Shade 45 show for this freestyle session. Make sure to cop Statik Selektah and Termanoloy’s 1982 collaboration project.
