Lil Kim On Nicki Minaj: “I will erase this bitch’s social security number…”

"My records just ain't enter the charts. They made history," Kim declared. "What the fuck is this bullshit?! This shit come and go. You kidding me?"

Lil Kim gave her first public rebuttal to Nicki Minaj’s “Roman’s Revenge” last night at a Queens nightclub.

Last week, Minaj’s song received more media attention for its subliminal disses at Kim than its anticipated Eminem feature. Several lines of the song alluded to Kim as a “has-been,” and jealous of her younger peer’s success.

Kim’s choice to respond in Minaj’s native Queens appeared strategic, as Minaj referenced Kim’s Brooklyn borough in her diss (“Got some niggas out in Brooklyn that’ll off your top”).

“I got more love for Queens than this bitch do,” Kim said of her rival. “Play that Nicki Garbaj record…I will erase this bitch’s social security number…First of all, I don’t need a new record. I kill that bitch with my old shit. Drop it!”

The Queen Bee had the DJ play a snippets of her past hits and signature verses: Mobb Deep’s “Quiet Storm (Remix),” “The Jump Off,” and “No Time.” Afterward, Kim emphasized the longevity of her career, and painted Nicki Minaj as a gimmick with no staying power.

“My records just ain’t enter the charts. They made history,” Kim declared. “What the fuck is this bullshit?! This shit come and go. You kidding me?”

Nicki Minaj will be dropping her debut album, Pink Friday, on November 22. She has denied that “Roman’s Revenge” was specifically addressed to anyone.

Lil Kim signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation over the summer. She is currently working on her fifth solo album, and first since 2005’s The Naked Truth

At press time, Nicki Minaj has not released a statement on Kim’s comments.

We knew it was coming, just didn’t know when. I will agree with Kim; she has quality songs under her belt that trumps Nicki Minaj’s best work to date. That should be expected from someone who’s had about a 12 year head start. But this is a game of “what have you done for me lately?” In that regard, the Queen Bee cannot touch Nicki. And if Kim expects this to go in her favor, there will need to be music coming soon to back up her words.

It isn’t like Kim hasn’t been trying. Last year, she dropped the Zapp-sampling “Download,” which featured Charlie Wilson and T-Pain. It made the urban charts, but didn’t really do much to get her name back out there and build anticipation. So, it was back to the drawing board. This “beef” can possibly be the creative spark that Kim needs to remind her older fans why they love her, and introduce herself to younger listeners as a “Nicki Minaj blueprint.”

As of today, I think a lyrical battle can go either way. Minaj has a flow tailor-made for battling (like Ludacris, for example), but Kim has a much stronger confidence that’s conveyed in her rapping voice. If used right, each talent can be very effective in a battle.

Right now though, the ladies are just sharpening their claws. We’ll see very soon if either is willing to truly draw blood.
