The next chapter in The Conjuring Universe arrives on September 8 with The Nun II.
The sequel, set in 1956 France, continues the journey of Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) and her battle against the “greatest evil in the Conjuring Universe,” the demonic nun Valak.
Joining the cast are Storm Reid (The Last of Us, The Suicide Squad), Jonas Bloquet (Tirailleurs, The Nun), Anna Popplewell (Fairytale, The Chronicles of Narnia) and Bonnie Aarons returning as the terrifying Nun.
Behind the camera, The Nun II boasts multiple names from recent hit horror titles. Michael Chaves (The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) handles directing duties with the screenplay coming from Ian Goldberg & Richard Naing (Eli, The Autopsy of Jane Doe) and Akela Cooper (M3GAN, Malignant).
The Conjuring Universe is officially the highest grossing horror franchise in history with over $2 billion generated worldwide. Four titles have grossed over $300 million, lead by The Nun ($366 million), The Conjuring 2 ($322 million), The Conjuring ($320 million) and Annabelle: Creation ($307 million). The remaining three films have all grossed over $200 million.
