Things are getting magical in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Debuting this evening on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, we now have the first trailer for Doctor Strange (November 4). Played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Strange is a neurosurgeon who is injured horrifically in a car accident. With his life in a downward spiral, Strange sets off to find himself and comes face to face with The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), who teaches him the secret arts to become Sorcerer Supreme of the universe.
Of course, Strange’s journey has its challenges. There is the mysterious Karl Mondo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), whose straddles the line between hero and villain. Mads Mikkelsen will handle the role of the main villain (still unnamed) who opposes the Ancient One and seeks to usurp the Sorcerer Supreme title for himself.
Let’s not forget all these cosmic elements will tie in nicely with Thanos and that colorful little glove known as the Infinity Gauntlet. Will we see an Adam Warlock cameo? The Watcher? Mephisto? Let me not get ahead of myself.
